Planned changes in off-roll employee payment rules are an opportunity for a client to show their knowledge and expertise:
With significant changes to employment rules planned this year, employers and HR professionals wanting to keep up-to-date are being invited to a free seminar.
Independent recruiter 24-7 Staffing is teaming up with the employment law solicitors, McCabe and Co., to stage the event at Chippenham Golf Club on Thursday, February 27.
Among the areas covered will be changes planned for April in tax rules applying to off-payroll workers (known as IR35). The seminar will also look at the government’s plans for enhanced workers’ rights and a new enforcement body, termination payments, holiday pay, bereavement leave and contracts for every new starter.
Also covered will be changes from 2019, that employers and HR teams may have missed but need to know about. For example, with regards to protecting a business against a competing ex-employee, a 99-year-old case was turned on its head!
“This informal and informative briefing is for anyone who manages staff and is an invaluable opportunity to have questions answered by an expert with a wealth of employment law experience,” said Julian Thompson, Managing Director of 24-7 Staffing.
“Among the most significant changes is IR35 and we are well prepared for this. We are proud that we have been paying the temporary staff we place on a PAYE basis since April 2016 and are encouraged to see several of our progressive clients starting to insist on this payroll procedure.”
The event runs from 9am until 11am. For more information and to register, visit.
