Banks BHG team are riding high with their fundraising

Word Worker press release:

Fundraising efforts are moving up a gear as staff at Banks BHG get pedalling for charity.

Tracey Heath and Adam Burroughs, part of the team at the Swindon-based chartered accountants, will be in the saddle this weekend (June 12) for a 100km cycle ride for Julia’s House, the Dorset and Wiltshire children’s hospices charity.

Adam, Tracey, and Tracey’s partner Colin King, will take part in the event, cycling from the Julia’s House Dorset hospice in Corfe Mullen to Devizes, where the new Wiltshire children’s hospice is being built.

The cycle ride is one of a series of events Banks BHG are holding throughout the year for Julia’s House and, so far, they have raised more than £1,500. As well as the cycle ride, coming up are a sponsored walk, which 12 are taking part in; a golf day, with 40 already signed up; and a weekly office cake bake.

Neil Elsden, Banks BHG director, said: “We choose a different, local charity each year to support and I am really proud of how the whole team get stuck in to raise as much money as possible.”

Ged Montgomery, of Julia’s House, said: “We are absolutely delighted with all the support we have received from Banks BHG, from road races to cycle rides this has been a fantastic partnership and we look forward to continue working together in the weeks and months to come on the many varied events still in planning during 2016.”
