Leafleting and direct mail company Design Print Distribution Group has opened a new franchise in Coventry, aimed at supporting the city’s businesses with their direct marketing.
Heading the franchise is businessman Plamen Ivanov, who hails from Bulgaria. Plamen is rolling out the successful Design Print Distribution Group model, which offers four services: design, print, door-to-door leaflet drops and direct mail via the post.
Design Print Distribution Group, which has a Bristol head office, has a number of franchises in the South and South West, but the Coventry franchise is a first for the West Midlands. It will cover the entire Coventry postcode area, also taking in Rugby, Royal Leamington Spa, Warwick, Stratford upon Avon and Nuneaton.
“I’ve always run my own businesses, including a video store and the family metal and commodities business back in Bulgaria,” said Plamen. “I came to the UK in 2014 and for some time I was working for a Bulgarian company, trading in car parts. This was just like running my own company still, as I was the sole person based in here.
“During the pandemic I started to think about setting up a business again, and liked the idea of going down the franchise route. Although this is a new venture in Coventry, we’re not starting from scratch because I have the backing of Design Print Distribution Group and from the very beginning they have been really helpful, and given all the support I need.”
