Staff awards are a great way to give your team a pat on the back and bag some PR. Here’s our press release for Bluebird Care Swindon.

Dedicated and loyal staff from care at home company Bluebird Care Swindon have been given a pat on the back at their annual awards ceremony.

Some 20 awards for long service or excellence were presented at the event, which tied in with a company barbecue where managing director Ben Curtis was head chef!

Six Bluebird Care Swindon carers received two years’ service awards, ten received awards for three years’ service, and Tanya Johnson and Carol Telling were commended for five years’ service.

Special awards were also presented to Christina Guy and Sandy Czauderna for their outstanding contributions to customers and to their colleagues.

“We have a brilliant and cohesive team here at Bluebird Care Swindon and in a sector which is known for a very high staff turnover we are proud that we have a created an environment where our carers want to stay, and where they thrive,” said Ben.

“Christina and Sandy were particularly singled out not just because of the way they support our customers but because of the way they support our head office team and all their colleagues. They really go that extra mile.”

Bluebird Care Swindon, based at Groundwell, was established in 2011. It provides care to people in the town and surrounding area so they can remain living at home. Most customers are elderly, but the company also helps adults with physical disabilities and learning difficulties.

Ben and operations director Katrina Simms are currently recruiting to expand their team, and are looking for people who are passionate about caring for others. No prior experience is necessary, as full training is provided.
